Michiel van Ginkel new CEO Royal Hilverda Group

NOVEMBER 28th 2022, AALSMEER, THE NETHERLANDS
From December 1st 2022, Dr Michiel F. van Ginkel will become the new CEO of the Royal Hilverda Group based in Aalsmeer. Van Ginkel succeeds current Managing Director Jan Hilverda (70), who will end his career at the end of this year having been with the company for more than 45 years.

The 58-year old Van Ginkel has a broad experience in both the corporate world and family business, especially in the food sector. He was active in various marketing- and management roles at, among others, The H.J. Heinz Company, cannery company Hak and grower cooperative Koninklijke ZON. At the moment he has various supervisory roles and provides management advice.

The Royal Hilverda Group is the base of anything that flowers and grows in homes and gardens. As a family business, the RHG has been active in breeding and propagation since 1909. The company has grown into an international organisation of leading breeding and propagation companies in the floricultural sector with locations in The Netherlands, Kenya, Colombia and India. The ability to innovate and pioneer in thoughtful entrepreneurship has become the heartbeat of the family business.
